Now, however, Messi is set to return to Barcelona—though for a very different reason. According to Spanish media outlet Radio Catalunya, Messi has been invited to the club in honor of Barcelona's 125th anniversary. The special event will take place on November 29.

In addition to the invitation, the 37-year-old Messi will play an active role in the celebrations, participating in the anniversary events. The entire celebration will take place at Barcelona's iconic Gran Teatre del Liceu.

For Messi, this is the perfect time to participate in the event. He recently played his last match of the year for Argentina against Peru, and Inter Miami's season has also wrapped up. With no competitive matches until February, the Argentine superstar now has the chance to enjoy a break.
